F1 Balagan — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic bush-type hybrid of cucumber, of the 'Balcony' variety type, predominantly female or female-flowering. Intended for cultivation in the spring-summer rotation on balconies, verandas, loggias, in spring greenhouses and open ground. Branching is weak; lateral shoots are short, determinate type. At each node, 2-3 to 4-6 or more fruits form. Cucumbers are oval-shaped, without stem, intensely green with longitudinal light stripes of medium length, glossy surface. Cucumbers are short, 8-10 cm long, 3.0-3.5 cm in diameter, weighing 80-90 g, dense, crisp. The frequency of bump placement is medium, bumps of medium size. Flavor qualities of fresh and pickled cucumbers are high. The hybrid is resistant to olive spot, common cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, tolerant to downy mildew.
Planting density in greenhouses 2.5-3 plants/m2, in open ground 4-5 plants/m2.
