VST Tillers Tractors Ltd (VTTL), a prominent manufacturer of farm equipment, has officially broken ground for its new Global Tech Centre in Hosur. The company conducted a traditional 'Bhoomi pooja' ceremony on Tuesday, marking the commencement of a project that involves an investment of ₹100 crore. This state-of-the-art facility is intended to serve as the primary global hub for the company's advanced engineering, research, and innovation efforts.
The core objective of the new centre is to accelerate the development of next-generation agricultural technologies. The facility will focus heavily on tractors, tillers, and specialized farm mechanization equipment, with a strong emphasis on intelligent machinery for sustainable farming practices. By integrating both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) drive trains, the company aims to address the growing global shift towards sustainable and automated agricultural solutions.
