Pichon Expands Its SV Slurry Tanker Series
French agricultural machinery manufacturer Pichon has announced the expansion of its SV slurry tanker series by introducing two new models with capacities of 10 and 14.5 cubic meters. These machines have been specifically engineered to operate efficiently in challenging environments, including hilly and mountainous terrain.
The single-axle SV10R model features a capacity of 10 cubic meters and a wheel base of 5.30 meters, ensuring enhanced maneuverability in the field. Its track width can be adjusted to either 1.80 or 2.15 meters. The tanker is equipped with 38-inch Mitas wheels, providing reliable traction and stability.
For applying slurry with the SV10R model, operators can choose from trailing hose booms with working widths of 7.5, 9, or 12 meters. This variety of boom sizes allows farmers to tailor the application process to their specific field dimensions and agronomic requirements.
The tandem-axle SV14 model boasts a capacity of 14.5 cubic meters and is designed to operate efficiently with lower-horsepower tractors, making it a versatile and cost-effective option for a wide range of farming operations seeking to optimize fuel and power consumption.
Various intake devices and application systems are available for the SV14 tanker. These include trailing hose or trailing shoe booms, as well as disc harrows, cultivators, or injectors for direct subsurface slurry application to minimize nutrient losses.
