Moldovan FructLine Plums Arrive on Denner Shelves in Switzerland for the First Time

Moldovan Stanley plums, produced by NOVA-PLUM-FRUCT SRL under the FructLine brand, have reached the shelves of Denner supermarkets in Switzerland for the first time this season through a local importer. During a two-week period of test sales in select stores, four truckloads of fruit were delivered, enjoying strong demand among consumers.

For FructLine, these shipments represent a crucial milestone in developing export potential and building long-term partnerships within the Swiss market. The plums were supplied in sealed packaging that strictly complied with the requirements agreed upon with the importer. Due to the seasonal nature of the fruit, the sales window was limited.

Founded in 2016, NOVA-PLUM-FRUCT SRL manages approximately 70 hectares of modern super-intensive orchards producing apples, pears, and plums. The farm is equipped with advanced irrigation systems and protective anti-hail netting. Once all plantations reach full maturity, the company's potential production volume is estimated at over 3,000 metric tons of fruit per year.

Operating under the FructLine brand, the company controls the entire supply chain from cultivation and post-harvest preparation to logistics and final delivery. This integrated approach offers trade partners a single point of contact across all stages of collaboration, ensuring consistent quality of fresh produce.

The successful entry into the Swiss market followed extensive preparatory efforts, including business missions, specialized training, networking with potential buyers, and passing the SMETA social audit. These activities were supported by Export Agency, the Swiss government, and Helvetas Moldova under the OPTIM project. The Swiss importer noted that the pilot shipments delivered very positive results.
