Kaveri Seed Company consolidated net profit declines 14.18% in the June 2026 quarter
According to recent financial reports, Kaveri Seed Company experienced a downturn in key performance metrics for the quarter ending June 2026. The company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 279.84 crore, marking a 14.18% decline compared to the Rs 326.08 crore profit reported in the quarter ending June 2025.
Total sales for the company also followed a downward trend. During the reported quarter of this year, sales decreased by 13.51%, reaching Rs 742.50 crore against Rs 858.53 crore during the quarter ended June 2025. These figures highlight a period of slower trade activity at the beginning of the financial year.
Despite the decline in net profit and revenue, the company's operating margin (OPM) showed only a minor variation, recorded at 39.58% in June 2026 compared to 39.39% in June 2025. This suggests that while total volumes have dropped, the company has managed to maintain its operational efficiency at a relatively stable level.
Other financial metrics also reflected the broader downward trend. The Profit Before Depreciation and Taxes (PBDT) was reported at Rs 297.48 crore, a 15% decrease from the previous year's figure of Rs 347.93 crore. A similar trend was observed in the Profit Before Tax (PBT), which fell to Rs 284.02 crore from the Rs 334.32 crore recorded a year earlier.
These financial results were officially released on August 13, 2026, providing a clear snapshot of the company's performance in the seed sector. Market analysts continue to monitor Kaveri Seed Company closely, given its significant presence in the agricultural industry and its role within the regional agricultural supply chain.
