India a stable and trustworthy AI partner: Tata Communications Chairman
India named a stable, trustworthy AI partner; MoUs signed with multiple organizations at SASTRA event.
NG Subramanian, Chairman of Tata Communications and Tata Elxsi, told the SASTRA PACT for IMPACT event in Thanjavur that India is geopolitically stable and a trustworthy partner in the global AI ecosystem.
At the SASTRA event, MoUs were signed with Zoho Corporation, City Union Bank, Centific Inc., IIT Ropar, Greaves Cotton, PRODAPT & nStore for collaborative work in AI, Physical AI, Agriculture Sustainability, Software Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Mathematical Modelling.
Attendees included Zoho CEO Shailesh Kumar Davey, City Union Bank CEO & MD N Kamakodi, IIT Ropar Director Rajeev Ahuja, RL Narasimhan, Centific India Head, and PRODAPT’s CDO Dhanshiree Bhat.
SASTRA Vice-Chancellor S. Vaidyasubramaniam welcomed the gathering, underscoring the importance of partnerships for future AI development and indigenous capacity.
The discussions also touched on teaching AI models vs training AI models with anecdotal references, with emphasis on ethical AI approaches such as ‘Dharmic AI’.
