HELM and Parijat Industries announce collaboration across agrochemical value chain

HELM AG, a global chemical company, and Parijat Industries (India) Ltd have officially announced a strategic collaboration spanning the entire agrochemical value chain. This partnership integrates HELM’s extensive agri-input portfolio and technology platforms with Parijat’s robust manufacturing base, formulation development capabilities, and global distribution network. The move is designed to leverage digital tools to reshape agriculture and enhance farmer engagement.

As a core component of the partnership, Parijat will acquire a retailer-focused digital commerce platform along with its associated database. This acquisition is expected to improve procurement efficiency and market access significantly. Furthermore, Parijat will work closely with the Plantix team—a subsidiary of HELM—to utilize its farmer-focused digital platform. This integration will provide unique features for direct-to-farmer marketing and demand generation, facilitating a more data-driven approach to agricultural service delivery.

The collaboration also marks the introduction of a new brand line in India. Parijat and its subsidiary, Leeds Lifesciences, have secured exclusive rights to deploy the HELM brand. This includes the launch of HELM’s 'plant advantage' line, focusing on biostimulants and biologicals, providing Indian growers with access to advanced sustainable crop solutions.

Internationally, the partnership positions Parijat as a key strategic manufacturing partner for HELM. Parijat plans to develop technical manufacturing capabilities for proprietary molecules engineered by HELM and will serve as a toll manufacturing partner for the German company's global active ingredient and formulation needs. This development reinforces Parijat’s position as a reliable international manufacturing partner.

Commenting on the partnership, Uday Raj Anand, CEO of Domestic Business at Parijat Industries, described the alliance as a vital step towards advancing digital technologies for farmer advisory services. Stephan Schnabel, CEO of HELM AG, highlighted the importance of trust and shared values in this partnership, noting that India is a pivotal market for the future of global agriculture. By merging HELM’s international network with Parijat’s local expertise, the companies aim to build a meaningful, value-added framework for growers and the broader agricultural supply chain.
