Dhanuka Agritech launches ‘Polin’ fungicide for paddy crop

Leading Indian agri-input enterprise Dhanuka Agritech Ltd has officially introduced 'Polin', a specialized fungicide designed to protect paddy crops against leaf and neck blast disease. The advanced formulation was developed through a strategic technical collaboration with Japan-based Nippon Soda Co Ltd (NISSO).

According to an official media statement, the formulation features dual translaminar and systemic mobility. This allows the product to penetrate deep into crop tissues, effectively safeguarding unsprayed leaf sections and newly emerging plant growth to secure comprehensive canopy health.

Applied at a calibrated dose of 100 ml per acre mixed in 200 liters of water, Polin delivers long-lasting residual control when administered at the very first sign of infection during critical crop growth stages. By extending the protection window, the solution successfully reduces overall spray frequency, directly lowering labor and chemical expenses for rice growers.

Polin has already been launched across various regions in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Alongside the commercial rollout, Dhanuka has initiated targeted awareness campaigns among paddy farmers to promote the effective management and prevention of leaf and neck blast disease.

Commenting on the launch, Rahul Dhanuka, Managing Director of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, stated that Polin brings patented Japanese chemistry with a completely new mode of action for controlling rice blast. He emphasized that the solution grants farmers deeper and more durable protection for healthy grains while cutting repetitive spray costs, adding that the company plans to introduce further farming solutions in the coming months.
