Zurich cabbage (Brassica x turicensis) is an interspecific hybrid belonging to the Brassicaceae family. It is a distinct botanical entity often studied in the context of cruciferous crop development.
The sowing period typically starts in early spring as soon as the soil reaches a temperature of 8–10 degrees Celsius. Seeds are sown in rows spaced 45–60 cm apart to allow for proper plant development.
For more predictable yields, seedlings are raised in nurseries for 35–45 days before being transplanted to the main field once the risk of severe frost has passed.
