Dimexano
Description
Mode of action
Dimexano belongs to the group of dithiophosphate derivatives, which demonstrate significant herbicidal and desiccant activity in crop protection practices.
The mechanism of action of the substance is based on disrupting photosynthesis processes and destroying cell membranes of plant tissues upon direct contact.
The preparation penetrates the green parts of plants, causing rapid dehydration and subsequent death of the above-ground organs of the crop or weed.
The substance is characterized by contact action; therefore, the efficacy of the preparation directly depends on the coverage quality of the leaf surface by the working solution.
Unlike systemic herbicides, Dimexano does not possess a significant ability to move through xylem and phloem, acting only on the treated tissues.
What it targets
The main purpose of preparations based on Dimexano is the desiccation of seed crops and the destruction of growing weeds.
The preparation effectively suppresses broad-leaved and grass weeds during pre-sowing field treatment.
It is used for drying seed-bearing vegetable, fodder, and technical crops, which facilitates mechanized harvesting.
Using the agent allows reducing seed moisture before combining while preserving their biological value and sowing qualities.
- Sunflower and soybean.
- Perennial grasses for seeds.
- Vegetable crops in seed-growing plots.
Rates and timing
Working solution consumption rates depend on the vegetative mass of the plants: dense foliage requires an increased volume of liquid for better wetting.
Optimal treatment periods occur during the physiological ripening phase of seeds when seed moisture decreases to specific agrotechnical indicators.
It is important to consider the temperature regime: high air temperature accelerates the desiccation process, increasing the overall efficacy of the preparation.
It is recommended to carry out spraying during morning or evening hours in the absence of strong wind to avoid drift to adjacent crops.
The interval between treatment and harvesting must be strictly observed according to the regulations to ensure product safety.
Restrictions
The preparation belongs to substances requiring the observance of individual protection measures: work with it is allowed only in protective clothing using respirators.
Grazing livestock on areas treated with this substance is prohibited during the established waiting period after application.
The concentrate or working solution must not enter water bodies, as this may cause harm to aquatic organisms.
When storing the preparation, it is necessary to exclude access by children, domestic animals, and unauthorized persons in specially equipped storage facilities.
In case of contact with skin or mucous membranes, immediately rinse the affected area with plenty of running water and seek medical assistance.
