The active substance based on Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain PTA-4838 belongs to the class of biological fungicides of microbial origin. These beneficial soil bacteria colonize the rhizosphere or plant surface upon application, creating a protective biofilm.
The primary mechanism of action involves direct competition for space and nutrients with phytopathogens. By consuming root exudates, these bacteria deprive pathogenic fungi of the opportunity to attach to the plant and initiate infection.
This strain is capable of synthesizing specific antimicrobial peptides such as iturins, surfactins, and fengycins. These compounds disrupt the cell walls and membranes of harmful microorganisms, providing significant fungistatic and bacteriostatic activity.
In addition to direct suppression, the PTA-4838 strain stimulates induced systemic resistance (ISR) in crops. The plant activates its own defense mechanisms, increasing immunity to both biotic and abiotic stresses.

The product's effectiveness is maximized at temperatures between +15 and +25 degrees Celsius with sufficient soil moisture, which promotes the rapid multiplication of the beneficial bacteria.
Do not mix the product with aggressive chemical bactericides, as this may lead to the death of the beneficial microbial colony and reduce biological activity.
Restrictions
The main limitation is the incompatibility with certain chemical pesticides. The use of harsh chemical fungicides and bactericides in tank mixes can suppress the growth and development of the PTA-4838 strain.
The product is sensitive to ultraviolet radiation, so foliar application should ideally take place during morning or evening hours to allow the bacteria to colonize the plant surface before direct sunlight exposure.
Avoid the use of chlorinated water for preparing work solutions, as chlorine is harmful to live Bacillus amyloliquefaciens cultures.
