Autumn variety developed at the Minusinsk Experimental Station for Horticulture and Vegetable Growing by pollinating the Lalitino variety with pollen mixtures of large-fruited varieties Borovinka, Bessemianka Michurinskaya, and Belfler-Chinese in 1956. Distributed in southern areas of Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia.
Medium-sized tree, height 2.9 m, medium-growing. Medium-density, round crown. Branches straight, compactly arranged, branching off the trunk at nearly a right angle, branch tips directed upward. Bark on the trunk and main branches smooth, greenish. Predominant fruiting forms — rings, spear-like structures, and fruiting twigs.
Medium-sized, straight, round-sectioned, brown shoots with slight pubescence. Small number of buds, medium size. Buds pressed, medium size, round, smooth. Leaves medium-sized, egg-shaped, dark green, glossy. Leaf blade slightly concave, curved upward, no pubescence. Leaf margin serrated-toothed. Petiole medium length and thickness, slightly pubescent. Stipules large, elongated.
Flowers medium-sized, deep-cup-shaped, pink, fragrant. Petals oval, stamens short. Style medium, weakly pubescent, stigma level with stamens.
Fruits average weight 32 g, maximum 48 g, one-dimensional. Shape round, surface slightly ribbed. Skin delicate, smooth, glossy. Color at consumer maturity: main — greenish-yellow, covering — mostly fruit surface, moderately expressed, blurred, dark red. Under-skin spots — small quantity, medium size, gray, clearly visible. External appearance attractiveness — 4.7 points. Peduncle long, medium thickness, straight. Calyx deep, acute-conical, medium, no rusting. Calyx not falling, closed. Receptacle small, wide, smooth. Heart large, bulbous. Chambers open, medium. Subcalyx tube long, medium width, sac-like. Seeds medium, round, light-brown.
Flesh greenish, medium density, fine-grained, very juicy. Taste character sour-sweet, with spice, medium aroma, tasting score 4.4 points. Fruits contain: dry matter — 11.6%, ascorbic acid — 12.3 mg/100g, sugars — 13.4%, titratable acids — 0.79%.
Autumn ripening variety — first half of September. High fruit marketability, good transportability, fruits keep well for up to three months in storage. Universal purpose variety.
Self-sterile, best pollinators — Minusinsk Red, Tubinskoe. Early-bearing, enters fruiting on 3-4 years after planting (4-5 years after budding year in nursery). Productivity increases moderately but steadily. Average yield of 10-year-old trees — 90 centners/ha, or 13.8 kg/tree, maximum — 142.2 centners/ha. Fruit-bearing periodicity moderately expressed. Fruits do not drop.
Propagation methods — budding and spring grafting by cutting, rootstock — seedlings of Purpurovaya Ranetka. Recommended planting scheme 5 x 3-2.5 m. Variety responds well to fertilization and irrigation. Crown forms freely-growing, trunked, with one or two tiers of main structural branches.
High winter hardiness (in 1980, at -42.8°C air temperature, overall freezing degree up to 2 points). Drought-resistant, high heat tolerance. Resistant to scab (leaf damage degree not more than 0.3 points, fruit damage — 0.2 points). Flowers tolerate light spring frosts.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, early fruiting, scab resistance, high consumer fruit quality, fruit drop resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: in some years fruits may be bitter.
