Hybrid F1 Alcazar TmC5F2 — one of the best tomato hybrids developed by the company "Gavriš". It has already secured a respectable position in greenhouses across Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and has shown excellent results both in early and total yield. In terms of speed of maturity and yield, F1 Alcazar surpasses most domestic and foreign tomato hybrids. In 2006, the hybrid was grown on more than 100 hectares.
The hybrid is intended for cultivation using low-volume technology, but can also be grown on open ground.
The hybrid is mid-early (from germination to flowering 110-115 days). It exhibits good fruit set both during winter months and under insufficient light, as well as in summer under high air temperatures.
Plants of the "vegetative" type, characterized by stable stem growth throughout the fruiting period, and well-tolerate increased temperatures during the summer. Compared to the F1 hybrid "Eupator", the F1 Alcazar hybrid has a more robust root system, which prevents the top of the stem from thinning under fruit load. Additional shoots are left in the leaf axil below the 5th inflorescence on every 4th plant. Leaves are large, dark green, and well-tolerate high air temperatures. Internodes are shortened, which is ideal for cultivation in low greenhouses and allows for less frequent pruning.
The first inflorescence appears after the 9th leaf, then every 3 leaves. Inflorescences are short, simple, compact, without "kink", with 4-6 fruits. Fruits are uniform, smooth, firm, weighing 130-150 g.
The hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, fusarium, and genetically resistant to blossom end rot and fruit cracking.
Yield in extended cropping cycle up to 55 kg/m2.
