ESF 2012 CMS

ESF 2012 CMS is a promising spring rapeseed hybrid created using the cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) system of the Polima type. This hybrid is characterized by high productivity, surpassing parental forms and standards such as varieties Ratnik and Rif in individual yield components. Particular attention is paid to the restorer LHR-1, which ensures effective restoration of fertility and contributes to the creation of highly productive hybrids based on the Polima CMS system.

The hybrid is characterized by early maturity and high plasticity to growing conditions. It demonstrates strong early growth and adapts to various soil types, including intensive cultivation technologies such as No-till and Strip-till. The recommended sowing rate is 400-500 thousand seeds per hectare, which ensures optimal plant density during spring recovery of 35–45 plants per square meter. Sowing depth varies from 2 to 4 cm, while row spacing ranges from 10 to 25 cm.

ESF 2012 CMS has high resistance to major rapeseed diseases, including phoma, sclerotinia, and pod shatter, as well as resistance to lodging and pod splitting. Oil content in seeds reaches 46%, making this hybrid attractive for the production of oilseed products. The yield potential is 45-55 centners per hectare, confirming its efficiency and reliability in various soil and climate conditions, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie.
