CHIP KL is a high-yielding winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) 00 type hybrid characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It belongs to early-maturing varieties intended for the CLEARFIELD system, ensuring effective weed control. The plant features a compact, medium-height form with a powerful podding habit and rapid development at early growth stages. The vegetative period is approximately 93 days, allowing the hybrid to be used for both early and late sowing dates. The mass of 1000 seeds reaches 3.8 grams, and oil content in the seeds is 44.4%.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to pod shattering, lodging, and major diseases, which reduces yield losses and widens the harvesting window. A powerful root system promotes good adaptation to cool and dry conditions, as well as efficient use of moisture reserves. Early flowering and uniform maturation ensure stable and high seed yield per hectare. Average yield in the West Siberian region reaches 21.2 centners per hectare, while maximum figures may exceed 42 centners.
CHIP KL is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Altai Krai and the West Siberian region. Thanks to the combination of early maturity, high oil content, and resistance to adverse factors, this hybrid allows optimizing sowing and harvesting dates, as well as increasing the economic efficiency of oilseed crop production.
