NS H 7037

Sunflower NS H 7037 is a high-yielding hybrid with a long vegetation period of 108-110 days. Plants reach a height of 160 to 180 cm, have medium stem thickness and a well-developed root system, ensuring drought resistance and successful competition with weeds in early growth stages. Leaf count varies from 26 to 30, and the head has medium thickness. Seeds are characterized by high oil content — 48 to 50%, and oilcake percentage is 20-24%. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 60 to 70 g. The hybrid shows high resistance to several diseases, including powdery mildew (controlled races by gene РІ6), fomopsis, fomosis, rust, alternaria, and downy mildew, making it a reliable choice for cultivation on infested and problematic soils. However, it is susceptible to some races of downy mildew, so it is not recommended for planting on fields with high infection levels of this parasite. Recommended cultivation regions include the Forest Steppe, Southern and Central Steppe of Ukraine, excluding southern areas of the Steppe. Optimal planting density depends on soil moisture levels and varies from 40 to 70 thousand plants per hectare: in dry regions, 40-50 thousand; in moderately moist areas, 45-55 thousand; and in well-watered zones, up to 70 thousand. The hybrid also exhibits high oil content and promotes maximum pollination due to abundant nectar and pollen, further enhancing yield and product quality. NS H 7037 is suitable for traditional cultivation technologies and ensures a stable high yield exceeding 50 centners per hectare.
