NS H 6963

Sunflower NS H 6963 is a simple mid-early hybrid of Serbian selection with high yield potential exceeding 45 centners per hectare. Plants reach an average height of about 160 cm, have a strong stem and moderately deep root system, ensuring good resistance and growth. The hybrid’s head is very convex, seeds are medium-sized with oil content of 48-50% and moisture content of 23-25%. The vegetation period is approximately 100 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various agro-climatic conditions of Ukraine.

Hybrid NS H 6963 is characterized by high drought resistance and can withstand prolonged periods of no rainfall, making it especially valuable for cultivation under challenging conditions of forest-steppe, central and southern steppes. Recommended plant density varies depending on the region: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in forest-steppe, 50-55 thousand in central steppe, and 45-50 thousand in southern and dry steppe. High fertility and stable yield make this hybrid a reliable choice for farmers.

Special attention is paid to resistance to diseases and pests. NS H 6963 possesses genetic resistance to false powdery mildew due to gene PI6, resistant to seven races of rust (A-G), and shows high tolerance to rust, Phomopsis, macrophomina, leaf and stem spot, white mold, and other common diseases. These characteristics ensure crop preservation and reduce the need for intensive chemical protection, promoting ecological and economical cultivation.
