NS H 6342

Sunflower NS H 6342 is a hybrid developed by the Institute of Agriculture and Vegetable Growing in Novi Sad, Serbia. This hybrid is characterized by high resistance to false powdery mildew, downy mildew, rust, Fomopsis, Fomosis, Alternaria, and sunflower moth, providing reliable protection against major diseases and pests. In addition, NS H 6342 has resistance to weeds and drought, making it especially valuable for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine.

The hybrid has a vegetation period of 103 to 108 days and reaches a height of 160-180 cm. The yield potential is up to 5 tons per hectare, equivalent to approximately 50 centners per hectare. The oil content in the seeds ranges from 48-50%, making this sunflower attractive for the oil industry. The seed moisture content is 21-23%, which is also an important quality indicator.

The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on the region: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare for the Forest-Steppe, 50-55 thousand for the Central Steppe, and 45-50 thousand for the Southern Steppe. Hybrid NS H 6342 is suitable for cultivation using the Clearfield technology, which allows effective weed control and increased yield. Due to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and stress tolerance, this sunflower is a reliable choice for farmers operating in various climatic zones of Ukraine.
