The hybrid sunflower NS H 6341, also known as Pegasus NS 6341, is a high-yielding European hybrid with strong Serbian genetics developed by the Institute of Novi Sad. This hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance and resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases, including fusarium, fusariosis, rust, white and gray rot, septoria, charcoal rot, downy mildew, and alternaria. Plant height reaches 170-190 cm, and the vegetation period ranges from 107 to 112 days. Seed oil content varies between 48-50%, ensuring high oil yield at harvest.
NS H 6341 is intended for cultivation using the "Clearfield" technology, enabling effective weed control with imidazolin-based herbicides. The hybrid is resistant to five strains of glyphosate-resistant weeds, providing reliable protection without additional treatment; however, for control of new weed strains and weeds, it is recommended to apply European hybrid in the two-leaf stage at a rate of 1.2 l/ha. The recommended plant population at harvest is 58-63 thousand plants per hectare in the forest-steppe zone and 48-53 thousand in the steppe and southern steppe zones.
The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 50-55 ц/ha, while actual yields may vary from 27.4 to 40.5 ц/ha depending on growing conditions. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to stress factors: lodging, drought tolerance, and shattering are rated 9 out of 9, and cold tolerance — 8 out of 9. Seeds are packaged in three-layer paper bags with holograms and accompanied by a quality certificate, confirming their authenticity and high quality. NS H 6341 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe.
