ARCISS

Sunflower hybrid ARCISS is a high-tech three-line hybrid for oilseed purposes, developed by the Selection-Genetic Institute – National Center for Seed Production and Variety Testing, and registered in the State Register in 2015. This variety is characterized by early maturity with a vegetation period of 105–110 days, enabling stable yields within a short timeframe. Plant height reaches 180–185 cm, with a thin, slightly convex, and slightly drooping head, diameter 17–22 cm. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 55 to 70 g, indicating high seed material quality.

ARCISS exhibits high resistance to a complex of diseases, including rusts A–E and false powdery mildew, and demonstrates enhanced resilience to reduced agro-climatic conditions and drought tolerance. Due to its high ecological plasticity and stress tolerance, this sunflower is suitable for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. Uniform and synchronized flowering, as well as even ripening, ensure minimal losses during harvest, as the variety shows low shattering during stand delay.

The potential yield of this variety is 3.8–4.3 t/ha with oil content around 51%, ensuring oil collection of 1.5–2.1 t/ha. Seed purity is at 21–24%. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to follow agronomic requirements: plant density should be 55–60 thousand/ha in areas with sufficient moisture and 50–55 thousand/ha under moisture-deficient conditions. ARCISS is an excellent choice for producers focused on high productivity and quality oilseed products.
