SAPSHO

SAPSHO — a medium-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in protected and open ground. From germination to the first fruit harvest, it takes 55–60 days. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, slightly branched, and of medium leafiness, with a female flowering type. Leaves are medium-sized, green, and smooth. One to three fruits form at each node.

SAPSHO fruits are cylindrical with a short neck, green in color, and of medium ribbing. Fruit length is 14–16 cm, diameter — 3.5–4 cm, weight — 120–130 g. The hybrid is distinguished by excellent taste qualities, high marketability, and good transportability, making it attractive for commercial cultivation.

The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in greenhouses during winter-spring and spring-summer rotations, and also shows good results in open ground. Planting density is 2–2.2 plants per square meter. Yield reaches over 20 kg/m² in winter greenhouses, 22–25 kg/m² in spring-summer greenhouses, and 16–18 kg/m² in open ground. SAPSHO is resistant to cladosporiosis and tolerant to ascochitosis, enhancing its reliability and reducing disease risks.
