Omyt 57, EC
Contact acaricide.
Active ingredient: propargite, at a concentration of 570 g/kg.
Manufacturer:
Chemtura AgroSolutions.
Form:
Emulsifiable concentrate. Supplied in ampoules of 12.5 ml.
Intended use:
Contact acaricide with high initial efficacy. Destroys a broad spectrum of phytophagous mites.
Advantages of the product:
Kills active developmental stages of mites (larvae, nymphs, adults). Does not kill eggs, but residual action kills larvae. Acts upon direct contact and by vaporization. Optimal efficacy achieved at temperatures above 20°C. Use of the product does not reduce natural populations of predatory mites and beneficial insects.
Application method:
Dilute the product initially in a small volume of water. Then bring the volume of water to the required amount.
During application, ensure complete coverage of the treated plant surfaces with the solution. For spraying trees, the volume of spray is determined by tree size and available equipment.
Begin application when the mite population reaches the economic threshold.
The product is most effective at air temperatures above 25°C.
The product's action is not affected by air humidity. It is resistant to direct action of ultraviolet rays and retains its properties under prolonged exposure to light.
The product dissolves well in waxy leaf coatings and is therefore resistant to wash-off by rain.
To avoid phytotoxic risk, apply the product under conditions that promote rapid drying of plants (warm weather, low humidity).
To prevent resistance development, alternate Omyt with products from other chemical groups.
Active duration: 2 — 3 days
Residual effect: 3 — 4 weeks
Precautions:
Hazard class: 2 (hazardous substance).
Bee hazard class — 3 (slightly hazardous).
Do not use food-grade containers for preparing the solution. Apply the product in the absence of children and animals, using protective clothing, goggles, respirator, gloves. Do not smoke, drink, or eat during application. After use, wash face and hands with soap, rinse mouth. If the product contacts the eyes — rinse with plenty of water. If it contacts the skin — wash with soap and water.
First aid for poisoning:
In case of early signs of poisoning (nausea, vomiting, general discomfort, weakness) immediately move the affected person to fresh air.
If the product contacts the skin — gently remove it with a cloth or cotton pad, wash with a stream of water or weak soda solution.
If the product gets into the eyes — rinse eyes for 15 minutes under running water, keeping eyes open.
If irritation persists, seek medical attention immediately.
In case of accidental ingestion — immediately contact a doctor and present the product label.
If the person is conscious — give them a large amount of warm water mixed with activated charcoal (3–5 tablespoons per glass), then induce vomiting by irritating the back of the throat; if the person is unconscious — do not attempt to induce vomiting. Immediately call a doctor!
