Fostek

The Fostek preparation is used for fumigation of various agricultural products and grain crops. It is used in rooms, warehouses, containers, and other storage facilities where it is necessary to eliminate insect pests. The preparation is applied in solid form with an active ingredient content of aluminum phosphide 570 g/kg. For tobacco fumigation, the dosage is 1 g/m³, for dried fruits and bitter fruits — 4.0 g/m³. For grain crops in elevators, warehouses, or ship holds, the dosage is 6 to 9 g/ton. When grain is stored under airtight conditions, the dosage is 3 to 9 g/ton. For unoccupied warehouse spaces, the dosage is 3 to 6 g/m³. The preparation is effective at temperatures from 5 to 25°С; the duration of treatment depends on ambient temperature: at 5–10°С — 10 days, 11–15°С — 5 days, 16–25°С — 4 days, and above 25°С — 3 days. After treatment, aeration for at least 10 days is required.
