Reliable soil-applied protection for your crops

When you head into the field in spring, the main goal is to give your crop a head start against weeds. Yukon by Alfa Smart Agro is the tool that allows you to handle annual broadleaf weeds before they even emerge.

Operational insights

It is important to remember that this is a systemic pre-emergence herbicide, so seedbed preparation is key. The application rate of 1.0–2.0 L/ha provides flexibility: use the minimum dosage on clean fields and the full rate on problematic areas.

• Efficiency: its selective action ensures safety for sunflower and corn crops when application rates are strictly followed.
• Productivity: one treatment per season effectively manages weed control during the critical growth phase.
• Hazard class 3: it is relatively comfortable to handle with standard protective equipment, and it does not present excessive toxicity issues in routine field work.

The secret to success with Yukon is soil moisture. Like any soil-applied herbicide, it requires water activation to ensure the active ingredient (terbuthylazine) is evenly distributed in the topsoil layer. If applied correctly, you eliminate the need for mechanical weeding or early row-crop cultivation, which saves fuel and preserves your machinery.
