TASCON 750, WG is a high-load formulation containing 750 g/kg of nicosulfuron. Produced by Rotam Agrochemical Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Shenghong Pesticide Co., Ltd., the product utilizes Water Dispersible Granules (WG). This formulation technology provides superior storage stability and optimal solubility compared to liquid concentrates, ensuring that the active ingredient remains uniformly suspended throughout the spray tank, preventing nozzle clogging and ensuring consistent delivery.

Systemic Mode of Action

As a selective systemic herbicide, TASCON 750, WG acts via foliar absorption. Once applied, nicosulfuron translocates through both the xylem and phloem to the plant's meristematic tissues. By inhibiting the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, the product halts the biosynthesis of essential amino acids—valine, leucine, and isoleucine. This metabolic blockage leads to rapid growth cessation. The selectivity is achieved through the maize plant's innate physiological ability to metabolize nicosulfuron into non-toxic compounds, leaving the crop unharmed while eliminating competitive species.

Operational Guidelines

• Application Timing: Designed for post-emergence use on maize crops at the 3 to 10-leaf stage.
• Efficacy: Highly effective against both annual and perennial grasses and specific broad-leaved weeds, including quackgrass (Elymus repens), pigweed (Amaranthus), mustard, ragweed, and green foxtail.
• Field Application: The recommended rate of 0.05–0.08 kg/ha provides robust control with a single application per season.

The WG formulation is compatible with standard tank mixtures, making it an efficient tool for integrated weed management strategies in corn production. Its ability to penetrate and move throughout the entire weed structure ensures complete control, especially when dealing with persistent grass infestations.
