Designed as a post-emergence control solution, it is highly valued by growers for its ability to stop weed growth by inhibiting cell division shortly after application.

Field Experience and Application Tips

From an operator's perspective, the ease of mixing is a major advantage. Since it comes in water-dispersible granules, it dissolves quickly without leaving residues that could clog sprayer nozzles, making maintenance simple and efficient. We typically apply it at a rate of 0.04–0.05 kg/ha. Because this is a post-emergence (insurance) herbicide, timing is critical: it works best when weeds are in the early 2-4 leaf stage.

Targeting Weeds Effectively

Rimaster, WG shows excellent selectivity, meaning the maize crop tolerates it well while it targets the most problematic weed species, including:

• Grasses: Common couch (Elymus repens), Barnyard grass, Yellow foxtail.
