Field Experience: Controlling Grass Weeds with Pantera

When it comes to persistent weeds like couch grass or wild oats, you need a solution that works deep within the plant system. Pantera by Arysta LifeScience has become a staple for our field operations. As a systemic, selective herbicide, it allows for targeted control without compromising the main crop, which is essential when dealing with sensitive stages of soybeans, sunflowers, or sugar beets.

Application and Dosage Insights

The formulation (emulsifiable concentrate) is straightforward to mix and apply. Because it is a post-emergence, leaf-applied herbicide, the timing is key—you want to catch those weeds during active growth (the 2–4 leaf stage is ideal). Depending on the infestation, I typically adjust the application rate from 0.5 L/ha for annuals to 2.0 L/ha for heavy infestations of perennial species like couch grass.
