Protecting corn crops with DIYA-Nikos-OD: Field experience

When dealing with couch grass and common ragweed in cornfields, we prioritize formulations that offer both efficiency and stability. The DIYA-Nikos-OD oil dispersion from ProPole is a standout in this regard. Unlike standard wettable powders, this oil-based formulation provides excellent leaf coverage, ensuring that the active ingredient—nicosulfuron—sticks to the weeds rather than rolling off.

Field Application Insights

We applied this systemic herbicide at the 3-6 leaf stage of the corn. Its selective action is a major advantage: the crop continues to grow without checking, while stubborn weeds like barnyard grass, pigweed, and field mustard stop competing for nutrients almost immediately. With a dosage range of 1.0 to 2.0 L/ha, we can adjust the treatment based on weed density, which keeps our input costs optimized.
