MECHANISM OF ACTION
The mechanism of action involves copper contained in the preparation preventing germination of pathogen spores under favorable conditions for their germination. The active ingredient, copper hydroxide, causes various functional disturbances in pathogen activity (inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis, enzyme activity, respiration processes, disruption of pathogen cell division, and penetration into the plant), which eliminates the possibility of developing resistance to the product.
PROPERTIES
Compatible with most pesticides, except organophosphates and preparations with low pH bacterial mixtures (below pH 5.5). Protective duration under optimal application rates is 7-10 days; reapplication is required after rainfall. Ineffective against pathogens already inside the plant, since it remains on leaf surfaces and does not penetrate inside.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Maximum effectiveness of Alpha-Copper is achieved only with periodic, preventive application. It is necessary to observe intervals between applications in the protection system and correctly determine the duration of the protective period. Treatments are carried out in the morning or evening, in calm weather. Number of applications per season — 1-3.
