Teldor ® — is the first representative of a new fungicide class with an innovative mode of action. It inhibits the biosynthesis of styrene. Due to this, Teldor ® should be used in cases where resistance to standard products is observed. Thanks to its favorable toxicological and ecological properties, Teldor ® quickly received registration in many countries with very strict registration requirements, particularly in the USA.
SPECTRUM OF ACTION
Teldor ® has excellent activity against gray mold on grapes and can be applied from the earliest stages up to harvest. Teldor ® also provides protection for fruits during storage and maintains their quality during transport. Teldor ® has the shortest pre-harvest intervals: for example, 1 day for strawberries, 2 days for cherries/plums, and only 4 days for grapes.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
After Teldor ® comes into contact with the plant surface, its active ingredient (fenhexamid) forms a film that prevents pathogens from penetrating plant tissues. This film remains on the plant surface, ensuring a prolonged period of fungicide activity. The localized systemic distribution of fenhexamid in the plant distinguishes it from both contact fungicides and typical systemic fungicides.
ADVANTAGES
New mode of action
No cross-resistance with other gray mold fungicides
Excellent activity against gray mold and associated pathogens
Safety for consumers, operators, and the environment
