Professional protection against grey mold for your vineyard

Grey mold is the biggest nightmare for any vineyard owner. When I need to ensure that the harvest remains intact until the last day, I rely on 'Cantus' by BASF S.A. It is a systemic fungicide that performs exactly as expected: reliable, stable, and powerful.

Field performance and usability

The product comes in the form of water-dispersible granules. From an operator's perspective, this is excellent: the granules dissolve cleanly without creating dust clouds or clogging the nozzles of my sprayer. Maintenance of the equipment stays simple, and the preparation time is kept to a minimum.

• Dosage and application: I typically use a rate of 1.0 to 2.0 L/ha. This amount is sufficient to establish a robust defense layer on the grape clusters, even during periods of high humidity.
• Application schedule: You are limited to 1–2 applications per season, which is usually enough for a full cycle. Keep in mind the 50-day pre-harvest interval; planning the spray schedule around this timing is crucial for compliance.
• Action: The active ingredient, Boscalid, works systemically. It doesn't just sit on the surface; it penetrates the plant tissue, stopping the pathogen from the inside out.

Working with Class 3 hazardous materials requires standard precautions, but with proper PPE, the application is straightforward. 'Cantus' is my go-to choice when I cannot afford to take risks with fungal infections. It provides the consistency that every grower needs to deliver a premium, market-ready product without mold damage.
