Maize LD 2941

Focusing on Yield Potential and Stability

The LD 2941 corn hybrid, developed by NPO "Semenovodstvo Kubani," is a product of targeted breeding designed to adapt to the diverse and often challenging climatic conditions of the Russian agricultural regions. As a mid-early hybrid, it has established a firm position in the crop rotations of agricultural enterprises seeking reliable performance in both grain and silage production.

Agronomic Profile and Key Features

The primary goal during the development of LD 2941 was to balance high yield potential with resilience against abiotic stressors. During the vegetative stage, the hybrid exhibits vigorous early growth, which is essential for ensuring uniform stands during early planting windows. The plant features a robust stalk, providing high resistance to lodging, and a well-developed root system that facilitates efficient water and nutrient uptake from the soil.

• Adaptability: The hybrid shows consistent results across varying levels of farming intensity.
• Harvest efficiency: The ears are positioned at an optimal height, simplifying mechanical harvesting and minimizing losses during threshing.
• Grain quality: It is characterized by excellent kernel fill and high grain density, which are highly valued by processing facilities.

The Role of LD 2941 in Modern Farming

For both individual farmers and large-scale agricultural holdings, LD 2941 serves as a reliable risk management tool. In an era of unpredictable weather, choosing proven genetics from NPO "Semenovodstvo Kubani" allows producers to optimize seed costs while ensuring a harvest that meets market standards. The hybrid is ideally suited for operations practicing intensive agriculture that require a safety margin against drought or moisture deficits.
