Efficiency in the Field: Bomet 2-Furrow Plow

When working on small to medium-sized fields, the efficiency of your equipment often comes down to maneuverability and material quality rather than sheer horsepower. The Bomet 2х two-furrow plow is a staple of Polish agricultural engineering, designed specifically for compact tractors (20-30 hp) that require precision over scale.

Key Advantages of the Design

Unlike budget-grade or generic knock-offs, the Bomet 2х benefits from decades of refinement.

• Optimized Moldboard Geometry: The specific curvature of the moldboards ensures a smooth turnover of the soil slice with minimal draft resistance. This translates to lower fuel consumption and less strain on the tractor's hitch system.
• Adjustable Width: The design allows for adjustment in the working width, which is essential when transitioning between different soil textures and desired plowing depths.
• Durable Build: The high-quality steel used in the plow bodies offers superior resistance to abrasion, making this unit reliable even in slightly rocky terrain.

Operational Considerations

While the Bomet 2х is robust, it is essential to manage expectations regarding heavy-duty tasks. For extremely hard, compacted, or stony virgin soil, one must be cautious, as hitting large hidden obstacles can put significant stress on the frame stalks. Furthermore, the final quality of the plowing is highly dependent on the operator's ability to properly align the tractor's three-point hitch; neglecting this setup will inevitably lead to uneven furrow depths.

Who is this plow for?

This unit is the optimal choice for small-scale farmers and landowners who prioritize low maintenance and long-term durability. It is essentially a "set it and forget it" piece of equipment—consumables like plowshares are easily replaced with basic hand tools, and spare parts are widely available. If you need a reliable workhorse that doesn't overcomplicate the plowing process, the Bomet 2х remains a benchmark in its category.
