Swamp Iris "Siberia Swan" is a selected variety obtained as a result of the work of the laboratory of introduction of medicinal and aromatic plants. It belongs to the category of medicinal plants and was developed as part of research into mobilizing the gene pool of Siberian medicinal cultures.
The variety is characterized by high productivity and good adaptation to severe climatic conditions of Siberia, which makes it particularly valuable for cultivation in northern regions. In the "Siberia Swan" laboratory, such plants are simultaneously cultivated, such as peppermint, thyme, hill sage, onions, Moldavian viper's bugloss and hyssop, which allows conducting comprehensive studies of the interaction of various medicinal cultures.
The work on breeding the variety included analysis of morphological and biological features, as well as development of cultivation technologies. The patent for the breeding achievement was obtained as part of the research of the laboratory, confirming the uniqueness and commercial value of this variety.
