Actinostrobus is a genus of evergreen coniferous shrubs belonging to the Cupressaceae family. Native exclusively to Western Australia, these plants are well-adapted to sandy soils and harsh environmental conditions, making them a unique subject for botanical study.

The morphology of the plant includes dense, branching structures with scale-like leaves arranged in whorls of three. It shares common features with the Callitris genus, yet it remains distinct due to its specific cone morphology and reproductive habits.

Environmental requirements for Actinostrobus are centered on high light exposure. As a drought-tolerant species, it demands full sun and will not thrive in shaded locations where its structural integrity and leaf color density can diminish rapidly.
