The stems are heavily branched, often prostrate or semi-erect, reaching heights between 5 and 30 centimeters. The leaves are oblong with serrated edges, covered in a powdery coating and glandular hairs that give them a yellowish-green appearance.

Its flowers are small, inconspicuous, and gathered into dense clusters situated in the leaf axils. The flowering period typically spans from early summer to early autumn, depending on local environmental factors and heat accumulation.

The root system is a well-developed taproot, which allows the plant to efficiently compete for soil moisture and nutrients, even in compacted soils. Reproduction is strictly by seed, which is produced in significant quantities.

Seeds are small, dark brown or black, and highly persistent. Once the plant sets seed, these can survive in the soil for several years, making it difficult to eradicate completely from heavily infested fields.

Where it grows
