Mode of action
Dodemorph belongs to the morpholine chemical class. It is a systemic fungicide that effectively penetrates plant tissues shortly after application.
The mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis in the fungal pathogen's cells. This disrupts cell membrane permeability, leading to the death of the mycelium.
Preparations based on dodemorph possess both prophylactic and curative properties. They are rapidly absorbed by leaves, providing protection against infection at early stages.
An important advantage is its translaminar movement within the plant, which allows the active ingredient to reach the mycelium even if the leaf surface is not fully covered by the spray solution.
The substance is effective under various weather conditions and maintains activity at lower temperatures, which is crucial for spring applications on cereals.
What it targets
The primary target of dodemorph is the control of powdery mildew fungi. It demonstrates high efficacy in reducing infection levels in crops.

Rates and timing
Application rates for dodemorph depend on the severity of crop infection and the concentration of the active ingredient in the specific formulation.
Treatments are usually conducted during the active growth phase, from tillering to jointing, when the risk of powdery mildew development is at its highest.
To achieve maximum efficacy, it is recommended to ensure an even distribution of the working solution across the leaf surface.
Intervals between treatments should be at least 14–20 days, depending on the disease pressure and environmental factors.
The application of the product requires well-maintained spraying equipment that maintains the working pressure necessary to ensure optimal droplet size.
Restrictions
When working with dodemorph, strict adherence to personal safety measures is required, including the use of respirators, gloves, and protective clothing.
Spraying should be avoided during high wind conditions to prevent drift onto neighboring crops or water bodies.
The pre-harvest interval (PHI) established for specific crops in the product label must be strictly observed.
The fungicide should be stored in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, inaccessible to unauthorized persons and animals.
To prevent the development of resistance in pathogens, it is recommended to rotate the use of dodemorph with fungicides from other chemical classes.
