Ammonium nitrate, kg

Ammonium nitrate fertilizer, used for mineral feeding of crops in all soil-climatic zones of Ukraine during main, pre-sowing application and for fertilizing agricultural crops.

Among all fertilizers, it holds the first place in agricultural use, accounting for 55-60% of the market share of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine.

Maximum efficiency is achieved when used for early spring topdressing of winter wheat and winter rapeseed, surface or local application before or during sowing of spring crops, as well as for fertilizing technical, vegetable, and melon crops.

As a main fertilizer, ammonium nitrate should be applied at a rate of 1.5 to 3.0 centners per hectare; for topdressing — 1.0 to 1.5 centners per hectare. Especially effective for early spring topdressing of winter wheat and rye, increasing yield by 3 to 5 centners per hectare.

Advantages include the readily available forms of nitrogen for plants, both in ammonium and nitrate forms in a 50-50 ratio.

As a treatment, ammonium nitrate can be treated with anti-caking agents such as dolomitic, sulfate, and magnesium-based ones.
