By using Tarder, farmers can artificially regulate crop development during critical growth stages.

Technical Application Details

The primary function of the product is to prevent lodging. The mechanism works through several key physiological processes:

• Intermodal shortening: the preparation inhibits cell elongation within internodes, resulting in shorter and thicker stalks.
• Root system strengthening: resources are redirected from excessive vertical growth toward root development and stem tissue reinforcement.
• Increased biomechanical strength: stalks treated with Tarder exhibit greater resistance to wind and heavy rain damage.

Integration into Crop Management

For winter cereals (wheat, barley), the timing of application is critical—ideally at the onset of stem elongation. Applying the product during this window effectively suppresses the growth of the first and second internodes. For annual sunflower, Tarder is used to manage plant habitus, preventing excessive vegetative mass that often leads to lodging in high-density planting scenarios.

Formulated as a water-soluble concentrate, the product ensures rapid preparation of the spray solution and high stability within tank mixtures. The application rate ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 l/ha, depending on the phytosanitary state of the crops and the specific production intensity. Classified under toxicity class 3, the product is compatible with standard agrochemical safety protocols.
