Chlormequat chloride (SSC-720) — plant growth regulator for cereal crops.
Mode of action:
Penetrates through leaves and root system, inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis. By shortening and strengthening the stem, it increases resistance to lodging and prevents stem breakage. Early application promotes tillering. Promotes uniform flowering, grain ripening, filling, and quality.
Application guidelines:
Recommended to apply at temperatures from +8 to +25 °C; at temperatures from +5 to +8 °C, an adhesion agent should be added. Spraying should be done using ground equipment in early morning (before 10) and evening (after 18) hours, under minimal wind conditions. Wind speed during fine droplet spraying should not exceed 3 m/s, and during coarse droplet spraying — 4 m/s. Immediately after each spraying, thoroughly rinse the tank, main pipelines, and nozzles with clean water. Do not spray when plants are wet from rain or dew, or if precipitation is expected within the next hour.
Spraying should be conducted during the tillering stage up to the stem extension stage.
