GARDENA EH 600/20 Motor Cultivator

In the field: real-world handling

Taking the GARDENA EH 600/20 out to the plot, you immediately realize this isn't just for show—it's built for deep soil cultivation. From the first few meters, the balance is evident. The machine doesn't fight you; the center of gravity is positioned to minimize back strain compared to heavier, cumbersome alternatives. Adjusting the tilling depth is intuitive, and the depth skid holds its course consistently, even in dense clay-heavy soils.

Maintenance and Fuel Consumption

The engine is unfussy when it comes to fuel, though it performs best with standard 92-octane gasoline. Consumption is predictable: one tank is enough for a full day of gardening without constant refills. Access to the air filter and oil dipstick is well-designed—you don't have to disassemble half the chassis to check levels before starting. This is a huge relief when time is short and the workload is heavy.

Operational nuances

• Transmission: Shifting is crisp and smooth. The drive system lasts as expected, provided you keep the gearbox clean.
• Comfort: Vibration is dampened at the handles, so your hands don't fatigue even after a couple of hours of heavy work.
• Serviceability: The design is straightforward. Any common wear item—like belts or cables—is easily replaceable in the field without needing specialized tools from a dealership.

The GARDENA EH 600/20 is a tool for those who value efficiency and results. It doesn't demand constant "pampering," just basic, regular maintenance to keep it running season after season.
