Efficient pest control: field experience with RUBIN, EC

When pests like the corn borer or cereal leaf beetle appear in the fields, time is everything. In my practice using Sharda Cropchem insecticides, I rely on "RUBIN, EC". This is a reliable emulsifiable concentrate based on lambda-cyhalothrin that helps exactly when a lightning-fast reaction is required.

Field application specifics

This is a contact insecticide. It works precisely where the solution lands. Therefore, when working on winter wheat or corn, I always monitor the spray quality. If the nozzles provide a fine mist and even distribution, the result is visible within hours after application. Lambda-cyhalothrin paralyzes the pest's nervous system, preventing further damage to the crop.

Dosage and usage

I follow this strategy:

• For wheat protection (cereal leaf beetle, sunn pest, cereal flies), 0.5–1.0 L/ha is usually sufficient.
• On corn, especially when dealing with high pressure from corn borers or bollworms, I increase the dose to 1.0–2.0 L/ha.

Practical tips

Due to the second hazard class, strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory: use PPE, monitor wind speed and ambient temperature. I avoid spraying during peak heat to prevent the emulsion from evaporating before it takes effect. With the right approach, "RUBIN, EC" is a predictable tool that solves pest issues for grain and corn crops at a reasonable cost.
