In modern agronomy, protecting crops from multiple pests requires efficient and fast-acting solutions. Pandion, developed by Kartal Pro, is an insecticide designed to streamline field operations by combining two potent active ingredients: Imidacloprid and Lambda-cyhalothrin. This synergistic approach is essential for growers who need to address pest pressures effectively within a single application window.

Dual-action technology

Pandion leverages both contact and systemic modes of action to ensure total field coverage:

• Rapid knockdown: Lambda-cyhalothrin acts immediately upon contact with the pest, paralyzing its nervous system. This is crucial for managing sudden outbreaks of cereal leaf beetles (Oulema) and thrips.
• Systemic residual control: Imidacloprid is absorbed by the plant tissue, protecting new growth from within. This is vital for long-term management of aphids and cereal flies, which can otherwise cause significant yield losses by sucking sap from the crops.

Field application guidelines

As a suspension concentrate, Pandion is engineered for ease of use in tank mixes, ensuring no nozzle clogging and consistent application across the field. With a recommended application rate of 0.15–0.25 L/ha, it offers flexibility to adjust for varying levels of pest infestation.

For winter wheat producers, Pandion is a key tool against the sunn pest (Eurygaster integriceps). By allowing up to two applications per season, it gives agronomists the freedom to intervene at the most critical growth stages. With its classification as a Category 3 hazard, Pandion provides a reliable balance between high biological efficacy and operational safety, ensuring the final harvest remains free from pest-induced damage.
