Selective insecticide against a wide spectrum of pests on apple and grapevine
Active substance: fenoxycarb, 250 g/kg
Manufacturer: Peters & Burg Ltd, Hungary
Formulation: wettable powder
Packaging unit: bag 600 g
Mode of action
Upon contact with harmful insects, the product acts as a growth and development regulator, blocking their processes of transitioning to the next stage. DUE TO ITS SELECTIVE ACTION, IT DOES NOT EXERT A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON MOST BENEFICIAL INSECTS.
Characteristics and advantages
The product is characterized by high selectivity towards beneficial insects — non-toxic to bees and hoverflies, as well as other beneficial entomofauna.
Long biological activity and impact on subsequent pest generations ensure reliable and long-lasting protection of fruit crops from pests.
Including the product in an integrated protection system for fruit and grapevines allows significantly reducing the number of treatments with other insecticides.
Safe for workers and the environment.
Compatible with most pesticides used for protecting gardens and vineyards, allowing the use of DОЗОР® in tank mixtures within integrated protection systems, but compatibility with partner components should be assessed prior to application.
Application recommendations
Against apple fruit worm: the first spraying is conducted at the beginning of summer, targeting the first generation of moths (beginning of egg-laying period). Typically, this coincides with the period of flower bud formation — petal drop. The second spraying targets the second generation of pests.
Against apple leafroller: the first treatment targets fifth instar caterpillars to prevent pupation. Depending on weather conditions, this coincides with the flowering period or shortly after. For controlling other generations, pheromone monitoring is mandatory.
Against mining moth: spraying is conducted at the beginning of the mass flight of the first generation of moths. Typically, this coincides with the pink bud phenophase and continues during the apple blossom period, which overlaps with the spraying against leafrollers, ensuring protection of fruit trees from both pest species.
Against grape leafroller: treatment is carried out against each generation if the economic damage threshold is exceeded. Single treatment is conducted at the beginning of the mass flight of the pest, but before egg-laying begins. Double application is also possible (in two stages at 300 g/ha each): first application — at the beginning of the mass flight; second application — 8–12 days later.
For maximum effectiveness, the timing of application must be coordinated with pheromone trap data (1 trap per 5 ha) and regional plant protection station forecasts.
Recommended rate of working solution: 1000 L/ha. Uniform and complete coverage of plant surfaces with the working solution is mandatory. Rain within 2 hours after application may reduce the product’s efficacy.
To prepare the working solution, the required amount of product is dissolved in 5–6 L of water. Fill the sprayer tank to 1/3 with clean water. Activate the mixing mode and add the pre-dissolved product. Top up the sprayer to full capacity with water while the mixing mode is active. The mixing mode must remain on during application to ensure homogeneity of the working solution.
The time required for workers to return to treated areas for mechanized work is 3 days, for manual work — 7 days. Maximum number of applications: 3 on apple trees, 1 on grapevines. The last application must be at least 30 days before apple harvest and 20 days before grape harvest.
