New systemic insecticide for controlling the larvae of Lepidoptera pests on vegetable and fruit crops.
Flubendiamide, 480 g/l
concentrate suspension
The product activates ryanodine receptors, making it impossible for insects to move or feed normally, leading to their death.
Ryanodine receptors are intracellular mechanisms designed for rapid, massive release of calcium ions. The released calcium causes muscle contraction.
Flubendiamide prevents the timely 'closure' of the receptor, causing all available calcium to be released without restriction. As a result, larvae after treatment with the insecticide Belt® lose control over their muscles, mobility, and stop feeding. Subsequently, complete paralysis and death occur.
Typical symptoms become noticeable within 1-2 hours after application. Treated larvae, due to their unique mode of action, appear half the size of untreated larvae.
Belt® is active against the larvae of most Lepidoptera pests of vegetable and fruit crops, as well as soybeans, corn, and tobacco.
