The fungicide "Vershina" from the "Frandesa" company is a dual-component systemic-contact preparation designed for pre-sowing treatment of winter wheat. The engineering solution behind the product lies in the combination of two powerful active ingredients: azoxystrobin (strobilurin class) and tebuconazole (triazole class). This combination ensures not only the elimination of the infectious background on the grain surface but also deep systemic disinfection of the embryo tissues.

Technical Breakdown: How It Works

• Azoxystrobin: Provides contact action by blocking the mitochondrial respiration of pathogens. In practice, this creates a protective barrier around the seed, preventing fungal spores from germinating in the soil.
• Tebuconazole: Possesses systemic properties. By inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, it arrests the development of fungal hyphae within the seed and seedling. This is critical for controlling root rots, which often infect the crop before it even emerges.

The formulation as a suspension concentrate ensures the stability of the working solution and optimal adhesion to the seed surface. With an application rate of 0.5 to 1.0 l/t, "Vershina" creates a protective coating resistant to leaching by soil moisture.

Control Spectrum and Regulations

The product effectively suppresses a complex of winter wheat diseases, including helminthosporium and fusarium root rots, common bunt, and seed mold. According to the regulations, up to two treatments are permitted. The hazard class 3 allows for standard application procedures. The pre-harvest interval is 30 days, although in the context of seed treatment, this ensures reliable protection of seedlings during the critical early stages of crop development.
