"Red Dragee" is a specialized fungicidal seed treatment based on Tebuconazole, a member of the triazole chemical class. The technical advantage of this product lies in its rapid systemic uptake by the tissues of the germ and seedling. When applied to winter wheat or barley, the active ingredient effectively inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in fungal cells. This mechanism is critical for halting the formation of cell membranes and preventing the further colonization of pathogens within the plant tissue.

Formulation and Application Features

The "flowable suspension concentrate" formulation is optimized for uniform coverage of the seed coat. Due to its colloidal structure, the product adheres firmly to the kernel surface, reducing dust-off during mechanized seeding. This ensures a consistent concentration of the fungicide in the root zone, which is vital for protecting the crop during the most vulnerable stages of early germination.

Targeting Key Pathogens

The systemic activity of "Red Dragee" provides robust defense against a range of seed-borne and soil-borne infections. In field conditions, the treatment is highly effective against the following threats:

• Helminthosporium and Fusarium root rots, which impair secondary root development.
• Smut diseases, capable of destroying yields during the heading phase.
• Septoria, affecting seedlings during early growth stages.
• Seed mold, which prevents rot in cold or wet soil conditions.

The application protocol requires a single treatment with a dosage rate of 0.2–0.5 liters per ton of seed. Classified as a Hazard Class 3 product, it requires standard individual safety measures. However, the systemic nature of the product provides the plant with long-lasting internal protection against the initial infection pressure throughout the critical root establishment phase.
