Systemic protection: the synergy of thiabendazole and flutriafol

The «Protector» fungicide, manufactured by «Fabryka Ahrokhimikativ», is a specialized solution for pre-sowing seed treatment. The effectiveness of the product is based on a combination of two active substances from different chemical classes, which eliminates resistance and provides comprehensive disinfection.

Thiabendazole acts as a classic component from the benzimidazole group. Its primary task is to inhibit pathogen cell division by interacting with tubulin. This provides a pronounced systemic effect, allowing the preparation to penetrate deep into the seed and protect the sprout from internal infections, including smut diseases and Fusarium root rots.

Flutriafol complements the composition, being one of the most mobile triazoles. Its systemic activity manifests in rapid movement throughout the plant following the growth point. This is critical for protecting seedlings from powdery mildew and septoria during early development stages. Due to high absorption rates, the product begins working immediately upon contact with soil moisture.

Technical application parameters

• Formulation: suspension concentrate, ensuring uniform distribution on the seed surface and optimal adhesion without risk of dust-off.
• Dosage: 0.5–0.75 L/t, allowing for high-quality treatment of planting material at a reasonable cost.
• Spectrum of action: effective against a complex of root rots, seed molding, and a wide range of smut diseases.

The regulations require a single seed treatment before sowing. When following the dosage, the fungicide demonstrates high selectivity towards the crop without suppressing germination energy. Hazard class 3 makes the product predictable to handle when observing standard safety measures. The product has been field-tested on winter and spring wheat, rye, barley, and peas, proving reliability even under adverse weather conditions during sowing.
