Desfilar is a professional-grade fungicide designed to combat aggressive fungal pathogens like late blight (phytophthora), early blight (alternaria), and downy mildew (peronospora). Its efficacy relies on the dual-action mechanism of its active ingredients: contact-based Mancozeb and systemic Cymoxanil.

Operational Mechanism of Components

• Cymoxanil (Systemic): This component is rapidly absorbed by plant tissues, acting from within. It targets the pathogen’s metabolism, specifically inhibiting the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids. This provides a crucial curative effect, stopping the infection even after it has begun to colonize the plant.
• Mancozeb (Contact): Forms a persistent protective film on the leaf surface. It inhibits the fungus's enzymatic activity, effectively creating a barrier against spore germination. Application Standards and Handling

Formulated as a wettable powder, Desfilar is designed for efficient integration into standard spraying routines. The recommended application rate is 2–2.5 kg/ha. To maintain efficacy and resistance management, the number of applications is limited to 3 per season.

With a 14-day pre-harvest interval (PHI), Desfilar is suitable for intensive cultivation of potatoes, tomatoes, and grapes.
