Why Carbion is a pragmatic choice for farmers

When late blight or alternaria hits the field, there's no time to experiment with unproven products. In my experience, Carbion by AgroMaxi has become a reliable insurance policy. It is a combined fungicide that works on two fronts: systemic and contact. The presence of metalaxyl ensures rapid penetration into plant tissues, while mancozeb creates a protective shield on the surface.

Application and Efficiency

• Crops: Tomatoes, potatoes, and grapes are the main focus. In vineyards, it is excellent at controlling downy mildew, even under high humidity conditions.
• Usage Rate: The product comes as a wettable powder. I stick to the rate of 2–2.5 kg per hectare, which is quite reasonable for current input costs.
• Flexibility: Up to 3 applications per season are permitted, which is sufficient to manage risks during peak infection periods.

Working with Carbion is straightforward: the powder dissolves quickly and does not clog sprayer nozzles, which is critical when handling large areas. As a Class 3 hazard product, standard safety precautions—respirator and gloves—are sufficient. The systemic action means I don’t worry if there's a light rain a few hours after application, as the active ingredients are already absorbed.
